Jack Peebles

Senior Pastor / Head of Staff

Jack & Margaret, and children Annabelle and David

Jack was called to serve as Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Yakima in March of 2008.  Jack first sensed a call to ministry after serving on a mission trip to the Yucatan in Mexico.  During that trip, he offered his first public profession of faith.  In 1991, he began serving on staff at Grace Presbyterian Church of Houston, Texas.  He has also served St. Thomas Presbyterian Church in Houston, First Presbyterian of Moorestown, New Jersey while in seminary, and as served as an ordained minister of First Presbyterian Church of Nashville, Tennessee, and First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood, Texas.  Jack’s passions for ministry include missions and outreach and encouraging others to use their gifts for furthering God’s kingdom.

Jack lives in West Valley with his wife, Margaret, and their two children, Annabelle and David.  Jack enjoys spending time with his family, reading, traveling, and baseball.  He is a member of SABR (the Society of American Baseball Research).

His life verse is “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say rejoice, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus”
Philippians 4:4-7
