WOW! Women Of Wonder

And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are away on a journey, when you are lying down and when you are getting up again.  Tie them to your hands as a reminder, and wear them on your forehead. WOW Monthly Devotional     EVENTS & CLASSES FOR WOMEN

WOW is the acronym for Women of Wonder, the women’s ministry leadership committee, of First Presbyterian Church.  God has inspired women of this church to grow deeper with Him through worship, teaching, fellowship, and prayer. The mission of WOW is to equip women to be intentional about their faith.

We believe we need to be intentional about growing in our faith. God’s greatest desire is to meet us as we seek Him. God comes to be among us in the presence of His Holy Spirit as we worship, pray and seek to follow Christ. Our goal is for women to become disciples; to follow Jesus, to walk with Him, to listen to His Spirit and to seek to live as He calls us to live.

The intentional growth of our faith is about both learning and following. To believe is so much more than simply thinking God’s Word is true. It is about taking time to grow in our understanding of the character of God and to step out in faith. We desire women to recognize the call of our Father when they study His Word and pray. We desire women to be challenged to serve. We desire women to be encouraged and to be encouragers. We desire women live in holy communion with God and daily follow the leading of His Spirit.

Committee members include Kathy Bricel, Sarah Holtzinger, Shan Trick, Suzie Searle, Susie Bennett, Kathy Myers, and Janet Krieger.

A monthly WOW insert will be available in the kiosk next to the Connections Center. The insert will highlight devotional writings by women in our church family and provide a schedule of upcoming Women’s Ministry events. We look forward to growing with you!
